Earliest registeration dates for the SDMB as we know it are from March of 1999, I believe. Before that were the AOL boards, some of which are chronicled in earlier SD books. ---

Because of the writtest test you have to pass to get accepted here: “Don’t be a jerk. Don’t spam.” Also, one look at any of the forums shows any newbie that “lol koolz i’ll b der 2nite!!!11” would not go over too well. So it’s a choice between thinking through a post and … Iunno, doing something else. [sub]Me? Not think through a post? NEVER![/sub] ---

I’ll be 18 and a half exactly in 9 days. I just finished my second semester of college (University of Maryland College Park–Go Terps!), and I’m taking a summer class and trying (unsuccessfully) to find some work. I started posting (lessee) when I was 16. I’m not surprised at most of these people being teens. Only **Mirror Image egamI rorriM** and **Angel of the Lord**. **Blalron** would probably surprise me if it weren’t for the Great Prom Saga[sup]TM[/sup]. Not an aspiring writer, but I am an aspiring engineer. Guess that’s it. ---
