Ivy cleans her glasses with little sheets of cleaner impregnated papers.
When she’s done she hands it to me to clean my phone or tablet screen.

I think it’s awfully sweet of her.

She nice, sometimes😊

Its not trivial, but a certain poster listens to my relationship worries and gives good advice and comforts me.

My wife prefers the toilet tissue to come over the top of the roll, but I prefer it on the bottom. Whenever she replace the roll, she puts the end on the bottom.

Of course, when I replace a roll, I put it over the top to respect her preference. It’s sort of a “Gift of the Magi” thing, I guess.

My husband lets me blame him for any and everything.

It started kind of innocently, I was conveying some extremely annoying development, finishing with how frustrating it was, on top of EVERYTHING else…there was no one to really blame even! He volunteers, ‘You can blame me, if it helps!’ So I did, loudly announcing, ‘Fine then! I blame YOU!’ Ha! And stormed off.

Thing is, it kinda helped. And from then forward I just took to blaming him for every imaginable thing, big or small! If I stub my toe, I blame him. If something upsetting should happen, of course I’ll tell him. And no matter what it is, I finish up with, ‘…and I blame you!’ He’ll always say, ‘That’s fine.’

Yesterday, he heard a crash in the kitchen, came in to see what happened, I’d dropped a mug, it broke. When he asked, and I told him, as I was picking up the pieces, it slipped from my hand. When I stood up, I looked him right in the eye and said, ‘And I blame you.’, he didn’t miss a beat, smiled, kissed me, and said, ‘That’s fine then!’

If anyone ever overhears this they’ll think we’re both nuts, I’m sure.

I wouldn’t want to think it qualifies as “sweet” but my next door neighbor will move my roll-out trash and/or recyclable containers from curbside back to the nook on the side of my house after pickups…and I’ll do the same for hers. It all seems to be some unspoken agreement that whoever isn’t home is the recipient of the deed.

Our house is set well back from the road, and we have a long, kind of hidden driveway through trees that’s dark and foreboding-looking at night without turning on the driveway lights that run along it. Mrs. Solost turns on the driveway lights for me whenever I come home from somewhere after dark.

I don’t really need the lights, since I know where the driveway entrance is, and my vehicle headlights do the rest of the work, but it’s a welcoming sight. Makes me realize someone is thinking of me.

Husband actually does a lot of small things for me, and I for him. But an example for this thread is that I get home from work later than he does, so he comes out to open the gate for me every day.

In my wife’s bathroom, I put it over the top for her. In my bathroom, she puts it on the bottom for me. Each to his own, we respect preferences 🙂

Plot twist? [Periodic leg movements during sleep (PLMS)](https://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/periodic-limb-movement-disorder) Is a disorder where someone moves their legs, usually rhythmically, during sleep. I occasionally have it happen, as witnessed by my gf.

My morning paper is deposited on the floor of the outer lobby of my condo. For me, bending over to pick it up is a pain. The guy who comes in every morning to clean the public areas picks it up and deposits on the top of the top of the box of salt in the lobby. He must have noticed me painfully bending over once. I guess when winter ends, this will have to end since the salt box goes into the garage then.

My wife and I have a fool-proof way of solving marital problems. Anybody can do it! Whenever we have a major disagreement, we sit down and calmly talk it out. I present my position and why I think I’m right, and she presents her side, and why she thinks she’s right. After a few moments of serious reflection and deep introspection, we agree to comprise, and do it her way. Problem solved! Thanks honey!

My colleague in the next office occasionally brings me interesting goodies or trinkets from her home country or that she acquires from compatriots. In return, I occasionally bring her some homegrown or store-bought flowers, a butterfly chrysalis, or whatever.

This has been going on since we both started at this workplace about seventeen years ago, and I hope/expect it will continue till I retire (I’m several years older than she is). 🥰
