# Tell me about living in Asheville NC

I might move to Asheville. Tell me pros and cons please.  
I know the city from when I was in college in 1973-75. A friend who does live there tells me it has changed for the worse. Too many tourists and high prices.  
What is you experience?

My Mom lived there until 7 years ago. It kind of reminds me of Berkeley, CA if you;ve ever been there.
