Tell me about nursing

I’ve been a nurse for 20 years, never looked back. I work in the ER, which I like because Tuesday is always different than Monday, I make a decent buck, and every so often I get to save someone’s life.

Hi Malienation, welcome back. I just want to wish you luck through your schooling and love with your job. It’s never too late to try something new.

Cool! My friend is starting nursing school on Wednesday. 5-semester program at Loyalist College in Belleville Ontario, to become an RPN (I think). He got laid off from his long-term job selling and supporting high-end storage systems. He’s never been squeamish, and he’s been caring for his wife during her hip surgery, so I guess he decided to formalize things a bit. It will help on the getting-a-job front as well.

But it’s a massive change to make at age 55…

Tuesday is always different than Monday because Monday is always hell.

Yesterday, Monday, I started a new job. Teaching nursing. That is a profession that has a yuge demand.
