Tell me about Vancouver BC!

As has been said, it’s West End. I’ve actually stayed at the Empire Landmark before; it is a good base from which to explore Robson Street. It’s also close enough to Denman that you can walk to the beach, to Stanley Park, and so on. Not a bad place to stay really; the rooms were pretty nice, and there was a revolving restaurant on the roof.

You can do a great lunch at the Grandville market. Go to a bakery stall and buy some fresh baked rolls. Buy some sliced meat from a butcher, and some veggies or fruit from another vendor. Eat and enjoy. If it is cold out, there is a soup kitchen in the market.
If you are in the mood for Pizza, go find a Flying Wedge Pizza Company location. Fantastic pizza. If you don’t make it to one of their locations before you leave, they also have a location in the airport. Beats the hell out of airline food.
ETA: If you want a great burger find a Vera’s. You can’t beat Vera’s meat.
