The battlefield for the Battle of Saratoga has a monument to a boot. It talks about a brave soldier whose leg was injured in the attack, but still managed to rally the troops to victory. Caesar salad was not invented in Italy or California. Theories as to its absolute exact origins vary, but it’s pretty firmly established that it was invented in Mexico, probably Tijuana, by a Mexican chef. ---

For _wrongheaded_ values of easternmost, you mean. The only way Alaska is easternmost is if you arbitrarily decide the International Date Line is somehow relevant to the problem. There’s no reason to do that. ---

During the First World War, all combatants combined expended on the order of eleven milllion tons of explosives. This was the equivalent to the payload of a single B-52 bomber or Titan-2 ICBM of the middle period Cold War.
