Okay, kids … calm down. We ain’t gonna do this here. If you want to take this to the Pit, go ahead. But please keep this discussion to the merits or lack thereof of the movie or I’ll close it down.

I know that this is not discussing the film and that I am in the minority but I like the narrated version of the movie. I feel that I get to know Ford’s character better with his narration. I also use to listen to the soundtrack often until someone stole it(evil prick whoever it was.) Wasn’t there more than one soundtrack?
I believe that if you try hard enough (read: make some possibly groundless intuitive leaps), you can read a “the-main-bad-guy (whose name eludes me) is the replicant Jesus” motif into the movie.
It’s been a while since I saw the movie, but I believe there’s a couple lines that feed into this, as well as him driving a nail into his hand, his death at the end, as well as a white dove taking wing right at the moment of his death.
A few Years ago MomyX2 and I rented BR Director’s Cut with keen anticipation. She had nenver seen it and we were going to watch it on heer parents new surround sound equipped 36-inch TV. We got comfortable in the recliners, turned off the lights then promptly fell asleep. I woke up to the credits. The music was very soothing is the only comment I can honestly make.
Loved the original!
Look for the theme of the inhumanity of man compared to the humanity of the so called replicants.
Also Roy Batty’s last speech has one of those lines and delivery that you will never forget.
I still hate the dove flying into the blue ske, considering it is still raining on the two in the next shot.
