That picture tells me the bacon was cooked at too high of a temperature. I like all kinds of bacon from soft and rubbery, to crisp and crunchy, but it should never be black. Crispness is the result of cooking it longer, not hotter.

Looks great, though it depends on how I’ll be using the pig meat.
That’s the way I cook bacon to crumble over a salad, or to put in an omelette. As a pizza topping or on a BLT I prefer my bacon more rare.
