Here’s a way to decide if you’ll fit in: start a thread asking if you should circumsize your gay, declawed cat who is kept indoors-only. Casually mention that your vet is a fat slob who wears Crocs, once ordered milk in a bar and drives an SUV. Toss in a snide remark that people who keep their shoes on in the house must be the same people who use cell phones loudly in public, are always late and voted for Bush. If you can survive that, you’ll be fine. 🆒 ---

The Rest of The Internet may be happy with being functionally illiterate, but we actually do ascribe to higher standards here, for good reasons (for example, this is a written word medium - if you want your communications to be clear, you need to write clearly). As for asking if you are right for us, that’s actually a kindness. We eat dumbasses who refuse to switch their brains on for breakfast. If (generic) you want to buck the trend and can do so in an intelligent manner - go for it. There are many other boards out there that will be kind and gentle with someone who supports an un-examined point of view. This is not one of them. (Grammar and spelling Nazis, indeed! You people have no idea how often those of us who actually can spell just ignore your egregious errors. 😃 ) ---

For the most part you’ll find a group of very imaginative ,very hilarious people that you’d have very little chance of coming across on any other M.B. On the down side as a newbie you’ll get the attentions of those we call the Grammar Faggots ,smug self obsessed wanna be bullies ,losers in real life but who want to make an impression on people who know no better on their joining . Just tell them to go away and they’ll be off. Believe me ! But stick it out and you’ll meet some of the finest people on this earth. ---
