I think it is a typo, a “ni” went missing. This gives the **[Knights Who Say “Ni!”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Who_Say_%22Ni!%22)** an unexpected turn, suddenly it seems it is their fault. How did the Pythons know that in 1975? No idea. Geniuses, they were. ---

I was just reading a book that said that the King of Siam sent an embassy to France. “To”? Moving buildings would be been expensive even for somebody as rich as him. Turns out that “embassy” as the building a foreign diplomat lives in to conduct business is fairly modern, from 1784. Previously, an embassy was “a deputation or mission sent by one ruler or state to another.” I can’t remember even seeing that usage before. ---

I should know by now that irony does not convey in the net, my apologies. The same meaning was implied in Spain (a different dictator, same shit), but in the meantime it is sometimes used to express that something is utter bullshit. I remember when talking about the custom of throwing a live goat from the belfry of a church in rural Zamora (Spain) (link in **[Spanish](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanzamiento_de_cabra)**, link in **[English](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goat_throwing)**, with subtle differences between both), something that was finally forbidden in the year 2000 because it was cruel and unnecessary, a friend of mine deadpanned “algo habrá hecho” refering to the goat and we found it hilarious because it was obvious that this was not the case. I guess you had to be there. I believe from what I know about you that you would have found it funny too, but without that context it sounds callous. Sorry again. But it _is_ funny. Imagine what @fachverwirrt did to the phone, the composting revenge was surely merited. ---

That if another K-T / Chixculub impactor were headed our way, thanks to modern equipment and mapping techniques, we’d see it about 50 years before it hit. What we could do about it is, as of right now, precisely jack, but we’d have five decades to come up with something. ---
