I actually saw Killer Dwarves in concert. I believe they were opening for Iron Maiden. The lead singer had a couple of parallel bars that were maybe a foot off the ground. During musical interludes he would do little pseudo-gymnastic routines on these bars. I swear I’m not kidding. Concertgoers were looking at one another in disbelief. ---

How could the worst bands of all time even become popular in the first place? Though I would agree that NSYNC sucks dirty dirty ass, they’re one of the top bands around now. Apparently there are millions of people whose definitions of quality music vary from mine. Wouldn’t the worst band in the world be incapable of convincing a record company to produce them? Even NSYNC (or their handlers/manufacturers) were able to convince a record company that there was some sort of appeal to the band. ---

Gotta disagree with you on U2, Jabe, but c’mon, the Counting Crows suck. Here’s my bottom ten list 1: Oasis 2: Counting Crows 3: Hanson 4: Oasis (yeah, I know, but I can’t stand them) 5: Rush 6: The Baha Men (I’m so sick of that song) 7: America/Neil Young 8: Gwar 9: Smashmouth 10: Oasis (can’t stress it enough) ---

tjw, don’t know if Heart counts as an ALL girl band since, aside from Nancy and Ann Wilson, the rest are guys… but you’re right, the 2 leads are women, and they’re a decent band, IMO. Nineiron, yes it was the Starland Vocal Band I was thinking of! They make my list because they have the dubious honor of being on 2 of my “Worst of” lists. 1) “Songs that Make My Flesh Crawl” (for “Aaaaaa-aaaaa–aaaafternoon Delight”)and 2) Worst band names. Finally, Floodnak, thank you. Please edit my list. #9 is now the Bay City Rollers. ---

There’s one band that many people consider to be The Ultimate Band of All Time. Although I hesitate to put them on my “worst” list, I must say that I’ve heard several of their songs and for the life of me can’t figure out what all the fuss is about. That band is… **Rush**. Here’s my list, in no particular order: N’Sync Backstreet Boys 98 Degrees C-Note Five O-Town All 4 One Boys II Men New Kids on the Block Color Me Badd Take 6 Needless to say, I have little patience for boy bands. ---

Kilt Wearin’ Man, Rastahomie: yer on my shitlist 😃 Seriously: I have a problem with people listing Rush, or Oasis, or any other band that obviously has talented musicians (note that this doesn’t mean that they will APPEAL to you!) as a Worst Band of All Time. I am not the sort of person that will sit down and listen to Yngwie Malmsteen for 3 hours - but the man DOES know how to play the guitar. All the boybands, that I can live with. But IMHO, we don’t KNOW the worst bands of all time. They were probably too crappy make the cut. ---

Sort of interesting that the lists you guys have posted before in this thread don’t have much in common with what some of the larger magazines (Rolling Stone, etc) have said in the past–haven’t seen the Grateful Dead or Dire Straits here yet. Glad to see that some of the other crap rock has made it though. ---
