> Bill Clinton doesn’t belong on the list and I don’t think it’s accurate to say that he “embtroiled” the country in the scandal. It was a partisan political Whitewater investigation led by Kenneth Starr which, after years of investigation failed to uncover any other wrongdoing, eventually led to a desperation attempt to trap the President into prevaricating about his sex life during a civil deposition. It was Starr who embroiled the country in a meaningless, partisan sex scandal, not Clinton.

Clearly Clinton’s blowjob was a hige Presidental blunder. Sure JFK got a lot of strange. But Clinton, by all accounts the “smartest politition of our time” didn’t know thinks were a little bit different in 1998 then they were in 1960? I’m always surprised that the liberals weren’t more pissed off then the conservatives were. Clinton allowed his whole agenda to become derailed over this. If he was carring my water, I’d have been pissed that he threw it all away over some oral.

> No, they should eliminate those anti-adultery rules. It’s no one’s business but the people involved.

I couldn’t disagree more. Those anti- adultery rules are important to the military. When there are a bunch of horny young guys and gals running around, its important to try and keep the lid on behavior. It hard to ask these guys to go to war for an year. The fact that the military, in some small way is trying to watch your back, and deter your buddies from doing your wife while your gone is important.

Uh-huh. And the rules are what’s keeping Betty from doing Fred while Barney is away?

Dude, if you’re relying on the rules as the thing to keep your wife faithful…you’ll probably want to start working on the ol’ dating resume.

If I were in the military serving abroad with a wife at home, I’d be more concerned about her fooling around with **civilians,** to whom the UCMJ does not apply.
