The incident of the paid to leave Doper. The paid to leave Doper returns. The problems the board had with html links that stole bandwidth from websites instead of being hosted on the poster’s site. Find out when html was turned off to prevent problems like the animated gifs we were having fun with. Pages of animation.😃 🙂 The campaign to have similes removed. 🙂 There was a campaign right? 🙂 I’ve submitted on a board history tie in to defining events. The Stormfront mishagos was similar to the Left Behind kerfuffle (yeah, I did just use a Yiddish word in relation to SF), taking place some time in '99 or so. Smaller in scale, but pretty ugly. Back in '02 (?) or so, the hamsters went out for a group lobotomy, and some didn’t come back. A season’s worth of posts were trimmed/lost for enhanced Board performance (which needs to be said with an Enzyte voice). Given that the Board was only a few years old (post-AOL, that is) at the time, this was a significant fraction of content. I think that it was restored in the last major upgrade … factcheck? The Lost Weekend was fairly recent. Right about the time Palin was nominated, a holiday weekend (Labour day?). It was the shift to new servers, and all —_ **all** _— rules were suspended. Ignore lists revealed for the first time, NSFW threads galore, Pit free-for-all, the works. It was an unnervingly fun time, very Lord of the Flies. Catch was (announced as we went into it) that no content from the weekend would migrate to the new server. Fun times. ---

Here is a summary of this board’s first 10 threads after it left AOL. There is a niceness to many of the posts, when they don’t correct Cecil. The outright flattery is refreshing to read. I see the first post on this board is a junk thread that got closed.
