Murray is up a set and a break, and Tsonga looks very frustrated. I’d like to see him play up to the occasion even if he doesn’t win. I do want to see the guy win a major at some point- just not this one. If Murray just serves out this set I’m not sure Tsonga can come back.
Meanwhile the Williams sisters beat Raymond and Huber (the #1 seeds) to reach the doubles final. They’re going for their fifth Wimbledon doubles championship, and if they do it and Serena beats Azarenka tomorrow, it will be third third time she’s won singles and doubles at Wimbledon in the same year (2002 and 2009).

Tsonga wins the Third Set despite taking a shot to Tsonga Jewels in the last game of the set. Ouch!

I didn’t think that shot hit him there, but I’d have to see another replay. (I’m not sure I want to.) Either way, Tsonga found a way to pick it up and maybe make a match out of this.

Murray wins on a serve return that just catches the outside of the line. He’s the first British man to reach the Wimbledon final since 1938 and you could see the moment really hit him after he hit that shot (although he had to challenge the call). Now he’ll take on Federer for the third time in a Grand Slam championship match.

So what happens to Murray if he doesn’t win on Sunday? Does he have the mental fortitude to shrug it off and keep going for it?
Fed has to get old eventually, can Murray keep being second or third until Nadal and Fed finally go away?
I really want to see Federer get one more, but I can’t help but feel sorry for Murray for all the pressure he is under to win.

What else could he do? I’m sure losing in a fourth major final would be very discouraging, but then again, losing in three must’ve been very discouraging. I’ll say he looked _very_ relieved when he hit that last winner. His coach (Lendl) lost his first four major finals and went on to win seven Slam titles just the same. I think Murray will do better than he has in his other final appearances - people may be underestimating his chances a bit. I think he’s been serving well the last few matches for sure. Here’s hoping Federer has one more left in him.

I think he has a very reasonable chance of beating Fed if he can keep his head from getting in the way. When Murray is “on” and not feeling the pressure, he has plenty of game. He has beat Fed before!
Perhaps the best thing Murray can do in the future is to just not play Wimbledon, focus on the other three majors and hope his country forgets about him.

That wouldn’t work and it’s a terrible idea. He plays well at Wimbledon and people would only criticize him more if he quit because he doesn’t like the attention.

Disagree with you their my friend.. outside of the first set I found it to be a pretty good match. I thought Aggie really bounced back and gave Serena a fight. Serena’s unforced errors creeped up and she was missing her first serve..
I see an Englishmen has won the Men’s doubles.. is that a prelude of things to come.. If Andy doesn’t do it tomorrow.. one might think that “breakthrough” doesnt happen. Serena seems to be a big Andy fan.. stating that she thinks he’s the most athletic guy on the men’s tour.. She did state that she feels a kinship with Roger since their runs have ocurred simultaneously..

Serena pulled off the double again today. She got tight in the second set and Radwanska did well to take advantage, but in the first and third sets she was clearly the better player. It’s a remarkable comeback after everything she went through and she seemed to really appreciate it. And Radwanska didn’t seemed satisfied with making her first major final, which was encouraging. I didn’t see the doubles final, but I see British men had done just as well in doubles as they have in singles at Wimbledon - 76 years without a title. This is also the third consecutive year that Linstedt and Tecau have lost in the Wimbledon final. That has to be very tough.
And the men’s final tomorrow! I’m pulling for Federer and already feeling the tension. I’d love to see him win another slam and get back to #1 after all this time, not to mention the record he’d be breaking. The crowd is going to be _intense_.
