I’m kinda surprised that no one in either thread came up with **minge**. (rhymes with “hinge”) I don’t know it’s origin… I believe I picked it up from _Penthouse Forum_ in the 70’s. I suppose it’s pretty vulgar, especially since it’s just one vowel away from “mange.” I also have several words that I’ve adapted for use during pillow talk, like **orchid** and **peaches**. I like the latter one, especially. Yes, it’s used in the plural… for me, it evokes the idea of canned, sliced peaches in light syrup. And yes, it originated as a reference to Steve Miller’s “The Joker.” ---

I like “belle chose,” but I also call it “coochie-wa” and “ling-lang.” There’s something about the “l” alliteration in “ling-lang” in particular that just fits, you know? 😉 ---

**Bughunter** , in that list of many languages I already posted the Romany word for the vulva, **minj** , and its variant **minch**. I knew a lot of British slang came from Romany, so now we see that English speakers have picked up on this, too. ---

Why you heathens! Here in Charleston I have heard the word “scamper” (as in "that’s a fine lookin’ scamper, ma’am!) used more than once; it does have sort of a recreational ring to it, doesn’t it? Another I’ve not seen posted is “camel toe” after the shape caused by shorts/jeans that are way to tight along some seams. ---

I absolutely HATE the word ‘pussy’ used in reference to a woman’s privates. It sounds so redneck-y. I don’t muck like c\*\*t either. Too harsh-sounding. I don’t say things like “put it in my hot slit!” during sex. But in conversation I have referred to it as my ying-yang, my parts, or my delta, and I’ll jokingly refer to it as my yoni (or, if I’m feeling really silly, “my yoni of loooove”). My sister-in-law said she found out the sex of her baby during an ultrasound when the kid stretched out and “you could see her woo-woo”. A client at the animal hospital where I used to work told us her mother used to call visiting the gynecologists’ ‘getting her hat checked’. So what would you call it- howabout ‘my chapeau’? A question for you Irish speakers- I’ve heard from two different people that Irish slang for a woman’s privates is ‘gee’ (pronounced with a hard “g” like in gorilla)- not sure how it’s spelled. I think I also saw it in a book by Roddy Doyle. Can anyone 'splain? ---

hmm… don’t really like any of the suggestions so far. anyway, i believe in inter-active learning so it’s generally referred to by me as HERE or THERE. as in “ummm yes, just HERE, no, not there, THERE” which, although not very specific seems to work 😉 ---

“Pussy” and “nookie” are kinda juvenile, but they’re cute nevertheless. “Cunt” only sounds good at the peak of heated passion. All seafood references are disgusting, misogynistic, and ridiculous. Likewise, “hair pie” and the like. Floral terms and “yoni” are nice, but maybe a little too poetic. I still prefer the older English “quim.” I stand by it firmly, though not as often as I’d like. 😉 ---
