what effect will a terrorist attack on america between now and january (pre and post election) have on our politics, if bush is elected, if kerry is elected. ---

If before then Bush wins the election. If Kerry wins and then the US is attacked you’ll be sure to see the partisan hacks from both sides changing from defense to attack and visa versa. If Bush wins and then the US is attacked well we get more of the same except he gets to have people chant USA! USA! USA! at him a bit more. ---

Oh and no matter who wins, if it can be proven who did it and they can be got at they will be stomped on with extreme prejudice and god help any country that gets in the way\* - Then again there wasn’t much objection to the Afgan offensive as that **was** legitimate self defense.
