There was a 1987 _Bloom County_ strip with a similar joke; I’m sure it’s been used elsewhere, too.

Heck, that joke dates back way before computers. I saw an old Three Stooges skit where the three of them were arguing in a car when, suddenly, Moe stopped and asked, “Who’s driving?!”
