Now all we need is 20 more pages and for the thread to remain stable and for it to open correctly after 5 pages or so and not take 17 years to load and for the mods to not close it down when vB starts acting all screwy and. . … Geez, what a spoilsport I am. A question: Is there a set number of pages a thread is allowed to go before a Mod closes it? Or do they wait for the thread to start acting suspiciously before it gets closed? Ten pages appears to be the limit that the board can handle gracefully, so that’s usually where we lock them. Not that it’s ever happened in GQ. If you think that’s bad, though, I’ve seen other boards (using proprietary software) where a single thread could go as long as 500 pages.
