test don't open

Links please.

Wasn’t that a song by Glen Campbell?

Welcome to the SDMB.

As to your question, I have no idea. I saw it in two different places within a two day period before I started using it. Neither place credited a source or auther. One was a calligraphy in a frame and the other was on a tiny card the size of a business card that I purchased and now use as a bookmark.

Abby

I meant author, not auther.

The Glen Campbell song you’re thinking of is “Gentle on my Mind”. It was actually written by the late John Hartford. This phrase comes from somewhere else.

Oh man. I had no idea this was still going on!! Ahhh. And that deja vu thing…I have to lie down with a cold cloth on my head now.

test

John you passed the first test.
The second test is to insert a smiley.
And the third test is to create a link back to this thread.

Seriously, welcome to the SDMB.

Abby (Who took nearly two weeks to accomplish those three things.)

Also long live the Straight Dopre!

Or as we say,

THE STRAIGHT DOP[sub]R[/sub]E !

The May 33rd thread did come close, though. It made it to 7 pages, and it only stopped there because it was locked to protect the server.

I don’t hold some kind of record, do I?

I could have sworn that I heard the evil code word…

So there IS a limit.

Some day, I will be in a GD thread which requires such a complicated answer that its only resolution will be in quoting in fifteen levels, and my argument will fail because of it!!!

It was open when I got here, honest!

You know, I still can’t do that link thing. I mean I can put little urls around a web address, but I can’t make a link say you should click “Here” and have here really be the link. I can if I copy someone else…but I just don’t care enough to learn. I’m such a slacker.

Contrarian checking in here.

Zoggie, the easiest way to find out how is to hit the “quote” button on a post where that’s been done, then you can get a look at the coding.

It always takes me about three previews to get it right…keep leaving the dratted "'s out.

You do all realize that you’ve scared him away, yes?

Then I would have said, "tests don’t open what?
