Good grief, **QtM**. You’ve gotten more replies on this post than many other threads on the board. Does that say something about the collective state of Dopers? Is it that we can’t ignore a challenge? Is it that we defy authority? Is it Sunday? Is it possible I’m just babbling incoherently? don’t answer that. ---

I used to work in a restaurant kitchen with a guy named Sam. Sam told me a story once about another cook, who we’ll call Joe for convenience (Joe was long gone by the time I started at that restaurant). One day, Joe shows up for work so hungover he’s still drunk. During the morning food preparation Joe falls asleep on a stool in the corner. So Sam and the other cooks put a live crab on his lap. According to Sam, that woke him up pretty quickly.
