Something I hadn’t known: Apparently there are a large number of named colors that most web sites will recognize. [Web colors - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors)

Blue

Olive

Teal

Navy

Magenta

LIME

Lavender

Chocolate

There may be a lot more than that.

[Here’s a list of 500 named colors](http://cloford.com/resources/colours/500col.htm), including their RGB codes in hex and decimal.

ETA: Okay, on closer reading, he says that these color names can’t be used in HTML (which I assume means that _some_ of them can’t be used), but [here is another similar page with named colors that he says you _can_ use](http://cloford.com/resources/colours/namedcol.htm).

I have an older edition of _Dynamic HTML: The Definitive Reference_ (O’Reilly) that has a four-page table listing about 145 color names, that supposedly can all be used.
