# Test Quote Tags

I somehow seem to have gotten myself in a weird error loop; keep getting this odd ‘message too short’ error.

I’d like to learn how to use the quote tags properly, but sometimes when I try adding them, I get the error message.
Pay little attention; I’d like to get this to work myself if I can.

Text inside quote tags is not counted towards the minimum character limit of 2 chars.

Oh. Right. And I musn’t leave spaces around the equals sign in the tag, either.

Why is there a lower limit of two characters per post? And don’t tell me it’s in a sticky somewhere.
One of the most famous dialogues in literary history consisted of an enquiry _?_ which elicited the response _!_
Also, reading some of the posts around here, it might be worth considering an _upper_ limit of two characters.

This was a design decision, made by the developers at vBulletin.
