In case anyone is wondering what the hell I’m doing, I responded to a post by msmith that I saw in another thread, and after quoting, I saw there was a “: D” in his response that did not appear to me in the post when I read it. My quoted response to him, “: D” included, did not display the emoticon either. So here I am trying to see what in blazes is going on. Is that emoticon gone now, or what? One more time: 😃 (preview) (shakes first) No little green guy. ---

Lady, the little green guy is all over your last three posts. If you can’t see it, your computer is broken. You need to buy a new one (a quad core pentium with 16gb ram and a top of the range graphics card should enable you to see that smiley) ---

I meant “Stealth” emoticons, obviously. I used to see the little green smiley all the time, and now I don’t. Hmm, I’m all over buying a new computer then. Where should I set my price range? $2,000s? $3,000s? I’d like the new computer to cost more than my car. ---

EBTLTA: Was ‘Sleath’ meant to be ‘Stealth’? If so, you can guess how much more confusing your thread was. What the hell is a sleath emoticon? And it is also why I came into this thread in the first place (to find out what these new-fangles sleath emoticons were) ---

Well you can go as high as $6000 when buying an alienware PC, but $3000 should just about do it. of course, the main point would be to display that smiley. But as a bonus you’d be able to play nice computer games also. (But you’d probably have to switch off the smiley displaying feature. It can hog resources) ---

😃 \<-seriously what I was doing while reading this thread. Yeah, it’s likely that your Internet cache was corrupted. The image was either downloaded incorrectly, or got messed up in memory due to a stray electron or something. Restarting Firefox forced it to check the file and download it again if it was broken. ---
