I’d eat most things, but I’m not sure about that. Fortunately though, by the look of the photos in the gallery, the festival has little to do with testicles and quite a lot to do with women taking off their tops. ---

A friend once described the Rock Creek testicle festival as featuring a lot of people you would rather not see naked. If you’re at the bar any time, ask to see the photo books from the festivals. ---

Around here, Fadely’s Tavern is known as “Mountain Oyster Capital, USA.” Every Saturday, folks come from all over to taste the testicular treats. It’s just another big ol’ drunk fest, no better or worse than any other big ol’ drunkfest. It used to be more on the level. But now it’s townies getting drunk enough to choke down a couple (“OMG I ATE A BULL TESTICLE, WOOOO!”) and then getting drunker still. I went a couple of times; it was pretty fun until it got late and then it got a little out of hand – I understand the Sheriff’s Office had a serious talk with them and they’ve clamped down on the full-frontal nudity, fighting, and drunk driving. So I give it a big _eh_. I never partook of the entree, but I hear it ain’t bad; the testicles are battered and pan-fried. But then I’ve often said that anything, including styrofoam peanuts, probably tastes okay if it’s battered and pan-fried and you’re drunk. ---

The 5th Annual world Championship Rocky Mountain Oyster Festival is being held this coming Friday and Saturday in Throckmorton, Texas. ---
