Uh huh, coating my 'nads in overn cleaner is a viable option to hanking my short curlies out by the roots. Yeah, I know it’s not lye but stuff that burns away hair isn’t exactly good for sensitive skin. flodnak - FY, the scrotum sack is pretty insensitive to pain. I think it is doable without too much hollering. 🙂 ---

The instructions on my girlfriends bottle of ‘Veet’ (hair removal cream) says to not put it on genital area, does this only apply to the female genital area as i’m pretty sure my nads can handle it… ---

I tried a hair removal cream (nair or something, can’t remember the brand) on my thigh once, and wound up with just about every follicle ingrown. Not an experience I’d like to go through again and especially not one I’d like to happen down there! ---

I’ve been shaving down there for years, and I have yet to experience any itch at all. I also had my eyebrows waxed once and that made me yelp pretty good. No way I’m getting my boys coated in wax and then have the hair ripped out by the roots. ---

It’s not so much an ‘itch’ more of a ‘prickly’ feeling. I was led to believe this is because the ends of the hairs are cut and have a flat end and are more abrasive because of this. Waxing pulls the hairs out so that when they grow back the ends are tapered and softer. This is the kind of luxury I think my balls deserve. ---

One thing that would concern me about waxing the boys is that the skin is so floppy I’d think ingrown hairs would be more likely. And that would be a lot more uncomfortable. Instead of shaving, you might consider using a clipper and just cutting them down very close. You won’t be completely smooth, but it’s still a big improvement over doing nothing and would leave you a bit more comfortable. Try it and see what the g.f. thinks. ---

Using a clipper on my lemons sounds like it has a massive potential for pain if you ask me. I can get a very close finish using my Mach 3 but it is the stubbly hairs that bother me and i’m sure a clipper would have the same problem. Is there no brave man on the SDMB that has had their spuds waxed and can give us the lowdown? ---

In the May 2004 issue of _Out_\* magazine, gay porn star **Gus Mattox** tells of his adventure with the Aurora hair removal system. It’s a laser system that, according to Mattox, causes no discomfort and takes just minutes. But it isn’t cheap but it’s permenant after 4 to 6 sessions. ---

If you’re very careful, just use a flame and burn the hair off. Just make sure to give yourself a good shampoo down there first, if you happen to use hairspray for styling purposes. Or everything will go up in a blaze of glory! _GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!!_ Anyhoo… ---
