A college acquaintance of mine whom I’ve not seen in years has been telling me about Pre-Paid Legal Service, which offers legal services at a fixed monthly rate. I’m not sure if he’s approaching me as a prospective customer or wanting me to consider it as a business opportunity; in either event, I was wondering if there were people here who have worked for, or used Pre-Paid’s legal services and whether they would care to share their experiences? I don’t know about its utility for the average joe. FWIW when I drove a semi all over the country, I had it. $19.95 a month, & it got me out of a few tickets, because an attorney would go to traffic court for me in that state & plead it down. Obviously, I couldn’t have done that myself. It was definitely worth it. ---

Do you still pay into it or have you gotten out of the contract? What other types of legal services to they provide?
