_Why_ is it _that_ no matter _how_ many spaces I put _after_ the close italics tag, the italicized word _runs_ into the next \* word\*? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 spaces, respectively. :mad: Anyone know how to fix this? ---

Not this: In the 1920’s, A. E. Michaelson used a _stellar interferometer_ to measure the angular diameters of large, nearby stars. But this: In these situations the gas or dye is  _adsorbed_  onto the surface. Or even this: Is that a real poncho, or is that a   _Sears_   poncho ? Use a non-breaking space to add some more room. On a Mac type option-space. Or type in the code & nbsp & nbsp (without the space between & and nbsp) a couple of times. Like           this. -To see what I just did click the “quote” button. ---

Great, I was just learning how to master all the old codes and stuff, now I’m just plain overwhelmed. Well, just came in here to see what I look like on the new board. oh and to see specifically if my 1000th post was made before or after 12/7 because I would love to have that one over again (my 1st one really sucked).
