who calls it “ðə ˈfɪnɪʃɪŋˈlaɪn”? I have only ever heard “ðə ˈfɪnɪʃ laɪn”. Unless you mean those people shoulder-to-shoulder who pass that thing along for to be sanded and cleaned and shined and polished. ---
