And you live in Bullshit Land. Must be tasty.

Maybe this is just morbid curiosity here, but tell us a good joke, **Clothy**. Just wondering how it is that a guy with no noticeable sense of humor is so often in giggling fits.

Or maybe your favorite comedian? Dennis Miller or Dennis Miller?

You’re thinking of **doorhinge.**

**Clothy** hands out black belts as participation trophies.

Wouldn’t even be that specific. If I had a dollar for every post I saw that started with “I think its hilarious that…” or some variation thereof…written by some guy who probably hasn’t laughed since they shot Old Yeller.

The reporting on the ruling is bad.

The ruling is still bad. It’s worse because eight of the judges know it’s bad and did it anyway. (The ninth has the courage of his convictions, which I disagree with, but at least he’s consistent.)

Hey, **Clothahump** , tell me that I shouldn’t be able get health insurance through my husband’s policy. Tell me that my 21 year relationship doesn’t matter. Or tell me that I should be able to get health insurance through my relationship because of my legally officiated marriage.

I Don’t know what this means. I know Sodor is where Thomas, Henry, Isabel, and Dulcie “live”. I did a history search of your responses. I could not understand them.

One history response indicates that you had a stroke a few years ago and that you are dealing with a divorce.

You aren’t making sense to me. You might be making sense to others. I’m going through my own shit which makes me----less than at my best.

I “me too’d” your “Bricker is a slavery apologist” not because I know it to be true, but because it sounds like Bricker.

I’m writing this post not because you are bad, but because I searched your post history and I did not understand a lot of your posts. It could be me. It could be my current mental state. It could be you. Please don’t take this as an insult—it totally could be my warped sensibilities due to my own issues.

That is a problem. When you do make a lot of shitty arguments, people will often believe that you’ve made other shitty arguments. If you’ve argued that Cuban/American policy should be based on a grudge you hold for a particular person, and that the racist results of Voter ID laws don’t matter, it’s not hard to believe that you’ve also at some point defended slavery.

Just like people repeat things about me that are untrue because they think it sounds like something I would have done. I’m having to learn that my use of hyperbole to indicate passion does not go over well here.

Thank you, Big T, I understood that you were talking about **Bricker** not **Scumpup**. Another problem is that humans are lazy (efficient) and assume that others know what we are talking about. I KNOW that you know about the other thread where I said that your posts that I’ve read make sense.

It brings to mind the Black Mirror episode of “The Entire History of Us”. --------That we aren’t robots with a memory of everything that has happened. And who would want that? All of those bad things on instant recall?

So, we have to rely on intuition----which has it’s own faults----- Like me knowing that you are good without having to provide citation.

The cynical dopers will reply with a “get a room”.

Me? No sense of humor? Sorry to disappoint you, my friend, but I have a very nicely developed sense of humor. As to why I’m in “giggling fits”, let me ask this: do you ever go to the zoo and watch the monkeys in the monkey house and laugh at their antics? I find watching assholes like Morgenstern act in the same manner as the monkeys to be amusing.

> The key to identifying which Texans are assholes and which ones are okay is surprisingly simple. If they believe it is important now that Texas was an independent republic for a few years and/or believe that Texas retained the right to secede as a requirement before agreeing to rejoin the US following the Civil War, then they aren’t worth wasting your time. A minority of them are like that, but they make up for being few in number by being obnoxious.

The key to identifying non-Texans who are assholes is surprisingly simple. They post retarded bullshit like you did.

It’s not _important_ that we were an independent nation before joining the U.S., it’s simply history. And pretty much everybody who was born in Texas knows that we can’t secede, simply because we were taught the history of our state. The secession bullshit comes from people who frankly don’t know shit about Texas.

Naw, dawg, I lived (and taught school) in TX for three years and I visit my brother in Houston at least annually. I’ve heard the yee-haw nonsense out of the mouths of Texans first hand. Generally, the ones who do all the bellowing about The Republic of Texas and a make-believe right to secession are the same type of idjit you can spot in other states by their mullets or truck nuts or missing fingers (fireworks).
As long as we are talking about history, though, did you know that some of the other states were independent republics? It’s true. It’s just that, unlike Texas, in those states it isn’t considered such an overwhelmingly important historical fact that it has to be brought up constantly.

A little history lesson from [The Texas Tribune.](https://www.texastribune.org/2016/04/19/texas-secession-debate-getting-kind-real/)

Can’t blame California for that one.
