Texas Board of Education meeting -- Jesus Christ, why do we have to listen to these clowns?

Well, the part you quoted had this in it: “freeing the slaves wasn’t the purpose of the War”. I would think most people would assume I was talking about the North.

And there is this: so you’re not outraged. That’s fine. But why does your response have to hold true for all here?

It doesn’t. And I even said so. But I’m free to chime in with my opinion, no?

There is actually a movement, called Physics First, to do just that. I am not a proponent myself, but it has its supporters.

When they find out what a raw deal they got… well, piss doesn’t go well with tequila.

I was absolutely, viscerally offended by this. I would have walked out right then and there (were I in that room for some reason!).

I’m an atheist, BTW.

Don’t underestimate the power of the school board to have teachers fired if they don’t follow the text message.

Especially if said teachers don’t have a union.
