Thatā€™s fantastic news, **Rebo.** Iā€™m so glad. Another sucky day at work full of bullshit and games. Saw a job I may apply for. The problem is that I donā€™t really like the chief of that section and heā€™s a total pain in the butt. If I were to qualify, itā€™d be a promotion, but Iā€™m not quite sure itā€™d be worth all pain that guy entails. Decisions, decisionsā€¦ ---

I saw the dress code memo today - itā€™s not too terrible. Pretty much says no spaghetti straps/tank tops, no super revealing clothes, no underwear as outerwear, no workout clothes, no raggedy, worn jeans, no flip flops or athletic shoes or clompy work boots. If you have a meeting with a mucky-muck, wear a suit. Theyā€™d prefer business casual the rest of the time, but jeans are OK as long as theyā€™re not faded or tatty. But my cube neighbor got inspired anyway. He took a demotivator frame, added a photo of our oldest engineer - the guyā€™s skinny, late-60s, white-haired-and-mustache - dressed in a wig, a crown, a blue dress with a pink boa and open-toed shoes. The caption reads: \*Dress Code - Because engineers donā€™t know how to dress themselves. \* Itā€™s a hoot!! Tonight I pack. Tomorrow I head south. I wish I could take my sweetie with me, but he canā€™t handle more than half an hour in the car at a time, so 6 hours on the interstate would wipe him out. Plus heā€™d have to amuse himself while I was at my conference. So heā€™ll be staying home, bored out of his tree. And as of Sunday, Iā€™m back as a GS employee. NSPS will cease to be at our organization. Makes me no nevermind either wayā€¦ Yay, **Mr. Rebo**!!! Yay for payday, **Puggy**!!! Yay for being almost Firday!!! Thatā€™s all Iā€™ve got nowā€¦ ---

I dare ya! ::Hides supersoaker:: šŸ˜› šŸ˜ƒ Would the position be less stressful for you, **Taters**? Is it possible that the chief would treat you differently (i.e. better) if you were his employee? Iā€™ve had bosses who were a pain to everyone else, but were actually great to work for (current boss trends in that direction). Dress code sounds pretty similar to ours, **FCM**. Does it mention shower shoes? We always thought that was funny. Flip flops arenā€™t allowed under our dress code and they were very careful to include a number of names for them. Made us giggle. We always thought they should resort to pictures, kind of like Glamour magazineā€™s doā€™s and donā€™ts. Things to cheer people up: 1. Comments Iā€™ve seen say [this](http://www.finisterreuk.com/surfingsheep/) was CGI, which seems rather likely, so donā€™t be talking about cruelty to animals. 2. Todayā€™s geeky TED video (6 minutes or so long). [The Marshmallow Challenge](http://www.ted.com/talks/tom_wujec_build_a_tower.html). Iā€™ve participated in similar team-building exercises that pretty much made the same point. I loved the statistics, though. There was more, but I think I need food firstā€¦ Back later. GT ---
