Yeah, I seem to recall that quite a few hispanic Mexicans (as opposed to the white Texicans or Texians or however they called themselves at the time) fought for Texas independence because they didn’t like Santa Anna. Just like how plenty of white folks from Texas fought for the Union during the American Civil War. You really can’t generalize these things.
