A reminder bump for this gathering, on Saturday April 6 in the Texas Hill Country — 6 weeks away. What’s the **Who What When Where** and **Why** for this? ◆ **WHO** — Dopers in the Texas Hill Country + partners / spouses / friends ◆ **WHAT** — Dope Fest Texas Hill Country. Let’s meet IRL! ◆ **WHEN** — Saturday April 6, 2024, at 1030am ◆ **WHERE** — in line at the entrance to: Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar, 1287 Gruene Rd, New Braunfels TX 830-625-0684; [https://gristmillrestaurant.com](https://gristmillrestaurant.com) [mail@grueneTexas.com](mailto:mail@grueneTexas.com) Gristmill opens @1100 but a crowd is expected. They do not take reservations. Let’s meet up in line and start getting to know each other, then go in and enjoy lunch. ◆ **WHY** — to meet up in real life, in 3D, and get to know some other Dopers who we talk with here; and also so we can fight some ignorance together 😉 Texas Hill Country Dopers, are you interest in meeting up? Let’s have a **Texas Hill Country Dope Fest!** Regarding the **WHEN** — Because of the total eclipse {thread here ➜ [USA TSE, total solar eclipse: April 2024 (was "three years away for USA" when started) - Miscellaneous and Personal Stuff I Must Share - Straight Dope Message Board](https://bit.ly/3ScQ06I)}, the date and time for this Dope Fest has already been fixed. That’s why the date and time for this Dope Fest is set and inflexible. Apologies to those who would otherwise be interested in meeting but cannot because of the date. We hope you can join. Who’s in? --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/texas-hill-country-dope-fest-san-antonio-tx-satx/996915)._
