Bumpy gourds and pumpkins. They look like they’re covered in warts & every time I touch them, I think of HPV. ---

As a child, my parents made me wear a pair of corduroy pants. I disliked their texture so much I vowed never to wear corduroy pants again. To date, I’ve kept my vow. (Corduroy sports jackets are okay though.) ---

A friend’s mother bragged that she potty trained her children by putting the kids in corduroy pants and then letting them walk around in wet corduroy when they didn’t make it to the potty in time. :eek: That seems like child abuse to me. ---

I don’t mind the feel of a peach, with my hands, but I have to peel it to eat it because the texture of the skin in my mouth is bad, to me anyway. ---

I couldn’t say it horrifies me, but it’s certainly not something I care for: anything that goes under a carpet; or, to be more specific, comes out from underneath it. Not sure what the US word is, but we could call it carpet underlay. There’s a nasty, clingy, tacky feel to it, and when you have to replace carpets and take it up off the floor, it has the added attraction of having a decade’s worth of assorted detritus stuck to it. It took a while, but my Mom figured out that she _loved_ the sound of the corduroy pants she got to wear when she had an accident. My Mom bought her some for home and there were no more accidents. ---

Fleece-y type of fabrics, especially against my nail tips. I recall these London Fog jackets in the late 80s? early 90s? that were the WORST to accidentally brush against. ---
