# TGI Fridays files for bankruptcy

You can get oversalted mozzarella sticks and burgerfries anywhere. Red Lobster, as despised as it seems to be, at least has lobster, fish, and shrimp.

A TGI Fridays opened near my childhood home (south of Dayton, Ohio) in 1977. It closed in 2017, and is now a Mexican restaurant. Not a bad run, but am wondering if they’ve been having problems for a while.
