People around here tend to hate those kinds of names. Other than Michelle at least). You’re making a lot of unwarranted assumptions. Poverty has nothing to do with it and neither does polling. (Or intelligence. I heard there are a couple of non-brilliant celebrities out there.) Sadie Grace is a good name, and it’s also a type of name that a lot of people around here like. And I do think it compares pretty well with Kal El and Apple. ---

Actually, around here, it’s more of a case of middle class biddies taking the opportunity to tsk-tsk at the naming habits of both celebrities as well as historically disadvantaged minorities. ---

What, nobody else thought “McIntosh”? We could call her Mac for short! And in about 10-20 years, Apple could hire her for their Mac and PC commercials. Maybe with Prince Charles as the costar. “Hi! I’m Mac!” “And I’m P.C.” EDIT: And eh, I find it bizarre how people obsess over what people they don’t know name kids they’ll never meet. ---

It’s really because the rich people who are giving these names are, in a way, thumbing their nose at society. Normal people are not able to give those names, as they’ll be made fun of. The rich people, by choosing those names, are flouting their superiority. Of course some people are going to be insulted. I do know that plenty of people with strange names get them changed, so apparently it works. ---
