Beyond that, I don’t care what you do with it. As soon as you respond affirmatively to this, I will send you the check. Inform him and me that you got it. If he posts at any time after you receive it, send it back to me. I have been enjoying this way more than I probably should. I actually think that both parties are men of their words (for better or worse) and will keep to their sides of the agreement. This whole thing sets an interesting precedent for sure. In case anyone is wondering, I am easy but I ain’t cheap. I remodeling a bathroom later this year and would welcome any help. I’ll leave for eight grand. ---

Given the two-year timeframe, what’s the rush? ---

Is this still a “wait 2 years before getting the $500” deal? I think that’s absurd, but hey, if PRR wants to do it, OK. I wouldn’t. Who gets a service for 2 years before paying for it? ---

I do not know if God exists or not, but I am pretty damn sure that no Church I have seen has it right and most are not even close to their own core beliefs. [/quote] It wouldn’t be with me if I were **Tris** , seeing as how you’ve placed on **Tris** the onus of monitoring **prr** ’s posting (or lack thereof) for the next two years. He is already agreeing to hold funds for this little pissing contest only out of the goodness of his heart, with no compensation or benefit to him. So how about you agree to monitor **prr** ’s postinng (or lack thereof) yourself? You’re not leaving the Boards, and this is your offer and your benefit, so you do the necessary babysitting. That way **Tris** is not obligated to do anything other than hold funds. If _you_ find **prr** posting and notify **Tris** , offering proof that is acceptable _in **Tris** ’s sole judgment_, then he will return the money to you. I would also point out that the terms of your meanspirited contract do not make clear whether you are agreeing that “ **pseudotriton ruber ruber** ” not post here for two years, or that the individual currently known by that pseudonym not post here for two years under any name. It seems obvious to me that, should he choose, he could merely open a new account with a new name and post away while also taking your money. What happens then? I seriously doubt TPTB will assist. It also is not clear at this point whether the parties are in agreement that **prr’s** proposed absence from the Board is for two years only or forever. Not that I give a rat’s ass about this shady little bargain or either of the participants thereto, but I would genuinely hate for **Tris** to do something out of the kindness of his heart and then end up in the middle of a clusterfuck over 500 clams. ---

If he tells me that he’s cashed **Liberal** ’s check, and that he can give me the $500 in two years time (maybe at another Gettysdope-fest, which is where I met him–and you, for that matter), it should be okay. I’m sure there’s more weaseling to be done before **Tris** tells me he’s cashed the check. ---
