Jesus Christ, what has happened to the Grand Old Party? Stooping to this level? Manufacturing anything they can to get traction in the media to presumably bolster their image? I thought those were the low down, dirty tricks liberals played! I am so confused. I want “real” Republicans to come back. You know, moral, righteous people that are pricks and squares and value business and corporatism over everything else. Where did they go? When and why did the right become such a pandering bunch of despicable bastards? Ok, that was rhetorical. 😃 ---

If the GOP had the kind of power and organization you impute to them, McCain would be in the White House. But I guess the notion that so many people are so genuinely upset about where Obama seems to be heading us is just too much to bear for some. ---

Heck, I’m not particularly pleased with what the current admin is doing in every instance, but I can’t in good faith call myself a Republican anymore. I used to, but not now. I want my political representatives to be for a strong military, pro-business AND environment, pro-gun ownership, pro-choice, pro-technology, pro-stem cell research (or any other research that can alleviate human susceptability to disease), pro-diplomacy before war (but not afraid to wage war when necessary), pro-death penalty, etc. I suppose I’m a mixed up fella at this juncture. I guess I want not only a combination of the two lame parties we are forced to choose between in terms of their ideology, but a new, government-supported genuine third (or more) party. ---

Where did you ever get that idea from? Now, if a factory worker took you up on your offer to register to vote, and put his name down as Thomas Edison, and a gun club guy decided to register as Charlton Heston, you would have to submit them. Then you would be just as guilty as Acorn with regards to election fraud - that is, not at all. ---

It should also be remembered that when workers try to pad their pay by submitting bogus registrations, it’s ACORN which is the _victim_ of that fraud, not them perpetrator of it. If I try to pad my own mileage or expense sheets for my company, that doesn’t mean my company is corrupt. ---

So, Stephe, say Sarah Palin gives a speech at, oh I don’t know a FedEx convention, praising the FedEx workers for their excellent work. Say that sometime after she gives this speech, a serial killer is apprehended and convicted, and it turns out he used to work for FedEx. That would mean that Sarah Palin condones serial killing, right? ---

The OP seems to actually believe that Obama was somehow aware of and supportive of what these four random ACORN employees were doing, and that ACORN, and I guess by extension all liberals, just think child prostitution is hunky dory. This is so irrational I don’t even know where to begin. Just because Obama was supported by a random liberal organization that may have some corruption issues does not in any way implicate Obama. If true, it implicates 4 random people working at ACORN. What the hell am I missing here? ---

I don’t think he actually believes any of that; he’s just employing the Limbaugh/Hannity tactic of repeating various anti-Obama smears as many times as possible, the way advertisers work in the product name 20 times in a sixty-second commercial in the hope of imprinting it in your mind. As the OP has demonstrated repeatedly in this very thread, he has no interest whatever in whether or not any of his claims have a factual basis. As soon as one is demonstrated false, he comes back with another one. It’s pretty much all mindless sloganeering and _ad hominem_. Apparently what he does believe is that insulting people’s intelligence will somehow win them over to his viewpoint.
