Apos, Elucidator, I really think you both should have to pay to replace my sarcasto-meter. It is only fair, since your combined posts broke it.[there would be a smilie here if it was not considered pase (SP?)]

> That’s not “dots” that’s **A DOT**.
> al Qaeda was NEW on the scene of international terrorism. The west was still focused on the downfall of the Soviet Union. It takes a dot or two for even liberals to draw a connecting line. Clinton did it within a few years as the dots multiplied, told Bush about the friggn dots, and the conservatives, true to form, went back to fighting the cold war against their new opponents in the Axis of Evil; North Korea, Iran, and Iraq. It took another dot to get them focused on the _actual problem at hand_, and still their attention wandered and they went blasting off after old and irrelevant foes.

No matter how many dots there are to connect, there always a 1st one. So you are correct this was a DOT which was eventually connected with the others. So in effect your time frame does go back to at least 1993.

> Are you a pathological fucktard or something? Clarke isn’t a Democrat, and he doesn’t follow orders from some conspiracy of Democrat scheduling. The scheduling of his testimony, his 60 minutes interview, and the book were all set months ago, and in the case of his testimony, set in part by Republicans.

I don’t know what party Clarke is registered with or how he votes, but I do know that he has aligned himself with the Democrats. It might have been for his own personal gains, or that he just allowed himself to be used as a tool (don’t really think he’s that dimwitted). I think we can use the old “if it quacks like a duck” rule in this case.

No, you asswipe, he’s aligned himself with the **United States of America.** Just because George W. Bush doesn’t like what he’s saying doesn’t make this lifelong Republican pro-Gulf-War hawk a Democrat.

Some things transcend party politics; Bush’s fuckup of an antiterrorism policy is one of them.

As I said, it’s none of my business how he votes (although you might want to check his statement of who he voted for in the last presidential election before you try engraving GOP on his forehead). His #1 goal is to line his own pockets and the only problem I have with that is that he has bent the facts in order to accomplish it.

Do you have anything to back up your assertion that his #1 goal is to line his own pockets? Didn’t think so.

What you are doing is called “making stuff up”.

Oh I’m sorry, I’m sure he wrote the book just to educate all of us…give me a _%^_#%\* break. If receipts from the book sales are not a priority, then maybe he should just donate all of the proceeds to charity (and the Dem’s are not a charity).

>
> Best-selling 9/11 author Richard Clarke rebuffed critics on Sunday who urged him to donate all the proceeds from his best-selling book “Against All Enemies,” saying he might need to keep the money to defend himself against Republican attacks “directed at my bank account.”
>
> While saying he “plans” to make “a substantial donation” to 9/11 victim families if book profits allow, Clarke told NBC’s “Meet the Press,” “The word is out in the White House to destroy me professionally.”
>
> “One line that somebody overheard is that he’s not going to make another dime in Washington again in his life,” Clarke explained.

Okay, I’ve got to ask.

You’ve got morons like **flickster** following BushCo’s Talking Points\*. Saying things like Clarke is _obviously_ full of shit because he didn’t trash BushCo while working for them.

Wasn’t it his job to be a cheerleader (publically) for the administration? What do you think would happen if Fleischer came out and said that BushCo was going after Iraq no matter what? Telling the press that Bush and his handlers wanted them to hear was his fucking job!

Personally, I think that when McClellan finally cracks it will be really entertaining. While watching him stammer, contort, and dodge through each denial, evasion, and outright lie is almost painful. I can almost see _the paycheck will be worth it, just a little longer, Scotty-boy_ dancing behind his eyes…

-Joe

\*Interestingly enough, on last night’s Daily Show, Clarke said that there’s staffers at the White House whose entire purpose is to call people like Limbaugh and Hannity and tell them what topics to cover, and what to say. I didn’t know those whores actually had a direct line to the White House. Sort of fucks up the whole charade of Rush as a “noble outsider looking in and telling you what’s really happening” , doesn’t it?

There’s been a strange absence of press conferences by Mr. McClellan this week. Perhaps he’s taking a little personal time to work out a book deal?

Now there’s a credible news source - The Daily Show (irony off)

Hey, dipshit.

The words came straight from Clarke.

As for The Daily Show being a credible source, it beats the hell out of most of the “news” networks out there.

Keep that in mind the next time your hero, Rush Limbaugh (the anti-drug man who went deaf due to drug abuse) is saying **exactly what he was told to say**.

Anyone else remember when journalists (and “journalists”) weren’t total whores?

Wow. Tell me you can’t actually vote, yet.

By your monkeylogic, if I were to state that the earth is flat, Madonna is a virgin, and O.J. was innocent, it would be true if I were to do it from, say, the floor of the US Supreme Court.

Jesus Fucking Christ, is this the best you can do? Is that all the apologists have left?

John Edwards officially announced his bid for the Democratic nomination on The Daily Show. Apparently he didn’t actually run.

According to your sad little monkeylogic.

Of course, it is entirely possible that you’re an exceptionally clever monkey, and this little tangent was designed to distract everyone from the fact that your hero Rush gets his maching orders straight from the administration he claims to objectively view.

-Joe, feeling like I’m kicking the shit out of a toddler…

I enjoy Jon Stewart & Lewis Black as a good source for a few laughs, but not as a sole source for news.
