# Thanks, Denver, for taking one for the team yet again

The third bad snowstorm for that area is scheduled to hit soon, while we in the Midwest and East are hovering around 50 degrees. We’ve only had one snowstorm here so far this season, and it was so long ago I can’t remember exactly when it was.
So thanks, Denver and the rest of that part of the country, for putting up with all the snow. I used to live in Colorado Springs and my parents were in Aurora for a while, so I know how snow just messes you all up. I’m sure we’ll get to join you in frosty misery soon…maybe next week. But for now, I’m going to enjoy the mild temperatures and not think about how the lack of snow will affect the number of bugs we’ll get this summer, or how we really need the mositure…well, actually it’s raining pretty hard right now.

Next Friday we get more! Yippie! I’ve lived here all my life and I’m used to our crazy weather but enough is enough! 😃

This Denver Doper has been in her PJ’s all day and has been snuggly under her blanket all day watching nothin’ but tv! Didn’t have any hot chocolate but did eat a big bowl of Rocky Road ice cream! YUMMY!!! 😃

Just had a friend tell me that a lady returning from Denver tonight couldn’t get out to get back to Ohio.
But all the snow in Denver may be just an incovenience. Neither Denver nor Northern Ohio will be underwater when the seas start rising in a few years. 🙂

It’s snowing again in New Mexico. My inlaws, who live south of Santa Fe, have been snowed in for a week now, and if more than a few inches falls there, the snowplow won’t make it out to their road tomorrow either. But nonetheless, whenever the news interviews a native New Mexican, he or she always says something like, “Well, I can’t find my car (or get out of my house, or feed my cattle, or whatever), but we sure do need the snowpack.”
So I suppose we’re happy to take one for the team. Enjoy your El Nino year on us!

Seriously, I appreciate the efforts of the Denver area to mitigate our wintry weather this year. I should call my friend in Colorado Springs and tell her how much I appreciate it. 😉

As soon as we Colorado dopers get a website going, we’ll have an address you can send the monitary renumeration in order to assuage your guilt about your continued warm weather.
Remember give willingly and give often. There is a Coloradan sitting in front of a fireplace missing work for you.
Honestly, it is not as good as I make it seem, I lost cable and internet and my Public Radio station went down. A number of friends were without electricity. Fortunately, I had a good stock of books.
