25,000 posts in roughly fifteen years. Close to the word count of _War and Peace,_ without managing to contribute anything significant to nearly every thread I posted in. This board has been a source of comfort when I’m down, joy with each new sex scandal, and sorrow when a member dies. (My wife still doesn’t understand what I get out of it.) Thanks to my lousy memory of who I agree or disagree with or even who I know, and my own flexible approach to my beliefs, I consider each and every one of you some poorly-defined sort of acquaintance, whom I default to liking as a friend because I’m happier that way. Thank you for being my friends and, like the label says, thank you for putting up with my pointless yammering and my directionless rambling. ---
