Didn’t ski today. Very windy. Watched a bunch of TV in the background and tried to get the house a little cleaner. But no. TCM had a Bette Davis marathon going. I’m in love with her. 90 years ago. I have a deeper understanding of the Kim Carnes hit song, however. She was stunning! ---

I’m a big Bette Davis fan. I think one comes down on the side of one of the two biggest dramatic actresses of the thirties: Bette Davis or Joan Crawford. Joan never did it for me. My favorite Bette Davis movie is _The Little Foxes_. Warning: if you don’t want to see her being a selfish bitch, don’t watch it. But it’s a stunning film. ---
