Thanksgiving 2007 pics

Here’s mine, I think.

It’s 9:00 a.m. in the Greater Toronto Area!

Oops, was so excited I figured out how to post a picture, I forgot the text!

Anyway, our Thanksgiving is past but am posting this picture for the pleasure of southern U.S. dopers…we give you…snow!

So was this today, or real Thanksgiving?

Holy shit that’s a lotta snow. When did it start? We don’t get much snow here usually (Maryland) and it sort of makes me homesick for a Prairie winter. But only for a few minutes.

It’s today and it’s still snowing and blowing!!! Supposed to snow until late this afternoon.

Thanksgiving was a bit blah in hubby’s family 'cause dad went in for double bypass…so this weekend we are having Thanksgiving dinner for them.

It started last night, meaning the typical white knuckle drive to work because there is ice under the snow and it’s slippery as anything!

Sound like what I’m used to in Southern Alberta. All black ice, all winter! Hooray for Chinooks! Oh crap it melted and re-froze!

I get snow down here maybe late December, it’s soggy and slushy and hard to drive in. And then everyone here rushes out for toilet paper, milk, and bread. WTF?

Quick! Dump gravel on it! Some cars don’t yet have cracked windshields!

I’m convinced all the “sanding” (in quotes because it’s not sand, it’s gravel) trucks in Alberta are owned by auto glass companies.

Canadiangirl, my morning news said southern Ontario should be getting snow for the next while. Enjoy!

We are enjoying the snow! Well, from work, anyway.

Have got my Trans Siberian Orchestra tickets for the Air Canada Centre on Monday…hopefully it will be a little warmer because downtown Sears have done their windows up with animated characters that move. I haven’t seen them since I was young so am going to take them in then walk to ACC.

That makes me homesick for the Ogilvy’s Christmas window in Montreal. All those little squirrels and rabbits and bears (oddly, all the same size), playing in their little fake-snow woodland scene, with their hats and mittens on…

I hope I see a few snowflakes here before Christmas. But I’m told not to hold my breath on that one.

I’m surprised no one has posted a nice, sunny pic from Florida or California!

That’s the biggest lawn gnome I’ve ever seen!

I’m envious. The radio station is calling for 1-3" overnight, but I don’t live in the snow belt anymore, durn it, so I doubt we’ll get that here.

I loves me some snow. Send it south!

Happy Thanksgiving! We celebrated at my husband’s grandparents. I ate WAY more than a should have, and you don’t even want to know how much food we came home with!

Me and the Fishes.

It Finally Snowed!

Blame the Children.

Great pictures!

It’s starting to feel like Christmas now with all this snow.

All is quiet here, the Day After, but I do have some visitors from Up North.

They are sunning and bathing at the same time.

California Thanksgiving. No snow, no rain, no fog, just food!

Aww, you’re beautiful Cyn!

Me and the husband’s roomies from college got together yesterday… for the first time since we got married a year and a half ago! We had a blast, definitely a bittersweet reunion since it could be so long until we see one another again… but at least I got a nice picture out of the deal.

Aww, you guys look like you’re having a blast!
