Thanksgiving.........how many at your table

After my daughter went off to college, I was alone at Thanksgiving.

Many times I would eat at the community center with the homeless.

Great food! Well, the rolls were usually stale (donations).

And they always had great, live, gospel music!

Five, I believe. My parents, my husband and I, and one very elderly friend of my parents who has no geographically close relatives.

Right now we’re expecting 22. But as always, all are welcome.

Eight for the noon dinner. Twenty-something for the evening dinner at in-laws’.

Seven. For like a minute or so while my nieces are seated.

After that, five adults.

7 at my S/O’s family gathering,
30+ at mine.
Though we’re not planning on staying long at either.

Three.

Just me this year. My brother was going to come over but I’ve got some kind of bug–I told him he’d have more fun with his friends than hanging out with a sick person.

Seven. At my son’s. He and his wife and three of his four children and my wife and me. His oldest is away at college and has to play in his marching band on Saturday.

Twelve on TDay at my place. A group of friends get together each year. I do the turkey, dressing, gravy, deviled eggs, and greens. Others bring everything else. Always fun. On Saturday I’ll be at my mom’s place and last I heard the count for that one is twenty.

Happy Thanksgiving Y’all!

10 at my sisters. I’ll get Christmas.

Seven. My spouse and i, two kids, a friend, and my parents. Could NOT be more thrilled that we aren’t talking to the in-laws. Totally no stress and good food.

Same here will my dog would disagree with me and say two. I could of gone to my daughter 's and her family but I rather stay home. Thanksgiving is
no big deal to me.

Seven - the two of us, and five transgender friends whose families have disowned them.

We’re looking at seventeen, unless one of the younger ones gets the sniffles at the last minute. Plus one critter. My octogenarian parents still insist on hosting every Thanksgiving, although they outsource the cooking to The Next Generation.

We have 7 adults and two kids this year. That’ll work. I’ll be less tired after so small a group.

Seven.

My folks, all my living siblings, and a niece. (We thought about inviting the deceased siblings but the turkey is not big enough.)

Zero; it’s a buffet. A dozen+ on the den (I’m a guest, so I don’t know this year’s count.) Three for the Friday version.

Three. My girls and me. We’re not really celebrating it other than my daughter being off work. A lazy day. My roommate brought home some smoked turkey and I have some cornbread flavored Stove-Top. He won’t even be here.

When I was a kid we had 12 at the least every year. Things sure are different now.

Five. My sister works (medical field) so she will be joining after work, but not eating. The most we had was 14, back before the cousins married off.
