Actually, that isn’t just my armrest - **get out of my seat, bitch** :mad: Yep, during a flight from Sydney to Dubai (15 hours of night), I got up for a leg stretch, and when I got back to my seat (about 20 min later), there was some random in my seat fast asleep and tenting under a blanket. huh??? I couldn’t see an empty seat nearby, and there were minimal cabin crew about, and I am actually a gentleman so I didn’t tip her on the floor. So I stood up and walked about for about 2.5 hours until she woke up and staggered up the plane. The lass in the seat across the aisle thought she had probably taken a valium or two and was confused. I didn’t mind much, but if there had been turbulence I would have done something. I always get an aisle seat - I don’t sleep much on long haul, I do get up every hour or so and I don’t mind moving for those trapped in. So it really does work well. As for reclining, Emirates seats slide forward as they tip back, so are less likely to compress the person behind. But do be consistent - the 11 y.o. girl in front of me from Dubai to London kept shifting, so I had to keep adjusting the screen angle. Which annoyed me. Si ---

Flew across the Pacific with a guy who couldn’t fit his his seat. This was back when I was younger. It will not happen again. If you can’t fit in your seat, buy two of them, I’m never going to let someone encroach into my paid seat again. ---

I fear confrontation like I fear rabid dogs, but after 10 minutes max of waiting for the unconscious person to rouse themselves on their own, I would either shake their shoulder and politely tell them, “Excuse me, you’re in my seat,” or hail the nearest stewardess to do it for me. Even with minimal cabin crew, somebody should come around sooner than 2.5 hours (seriously?! doormat territory). ---
