# That clown song, who wrote it?

You know that chromatic little ditty that plays on TV shows when clowns are on the screen? Who composed it? When? Why? Are they (or their estate) getting royalties from all that use? What about when groups like Insane Clown Posse and Destiny’s Child incorporate the melody into their songs?

It is by Julius Fucik, 1872-1916. Royalties? I doubt it, prolly public domain by now.
