That famous person is related to WHO?

Thanks for the clarification!

That’s Jason Miller’s son?

And thus, their son Miguel is first cousins with George.

And Migel’s brother Gabriel married Debbie Boone, daughter of Pat & Shirley Boone, and they have four children.

Most everybody knows Jon Voight’s daughter is Angelina Jolie, but his brother James changed his name to Chip Taylor and became a successful singer/songwriter.

Fans of American punk rock will appreciate that guitarist Tony Gilkyson of X is the son of Terry Gilkyson, the composer of the classic anarchic, nihilist punk anthem for the ages *Bare Necessities *from Disney’s The Jungle Book. So he pretty much comes by his punkness naturally, then. Terry’s daughter/Tony’s sister Eliza Gilkyson is a damn good folkie-type singer-songwriter, too.

It’s fairly well-known, I think, but the actor and alt-rock singer (for Coconut Records) Jason Schwartzman is the son of Talia Shire (the Adrian from Rocky in “Yo, Adrian!”). I was reminded of this last week when I was fairly bored by I Heart Huckabees, in which he starred and she appeared as… his mother. Apparently he’s also the nephew of Francis Ford Coppola.

Covered in Posts #42 and #44.

Of course you realize Francis Ford Coppola and Talia Shire are brother and sister and are also the aunt and uncle of Nicolas Cage.

Actor Anthony Stewart Head and singer Murray “One Night In Bangkok” Head are brothers.

Schwartzman was the drummer for the band Phantom Planet before going full time into acting. There are other Coppola spawn doing the acting / music thing: the lead singer of the band Rooney was also Anne Hathway’s love interest in the Princess Diaries - he’s one…I think his name is Robert Schwartzman; maybe he’s Jason’s brother…

ETA: yes, they are brothers, according to wiki…

Joanna Gleason, who has worked fairly consistently on TV and in movies for many years is the daughter of Monty Hall, of Let’s Make a Deal.

There was one I found out within the past few weeks that surprised me enough that I remember calling my sister to ask, “Did you know…?”

Might have been a married to one. Julia Louis Dreyfus’ co-star, **Clark Gregg **is married to Jennifer Grey

I hadn’t thought of that in a while, and remembered it just before I read your post. Yes, I said before!

I was surprised to find that out. I found out while watching a Biography episode about Hall. Apparently he was a very generous and big-hearted man.

I’ve heard Howard Stern say that one of his cousins is Eric Bloom, lead singer of Blue Oyster Cult.

Wait, why did you thank her?

You guys probably knew this but I didn’t know that Anderson Cooper’s mother is Gloria Vanderbilt.

But…according to Wikipedia,

Her paternal grandfather was Pierre Louis-Dreyfus (1908-2011)[3], a French Jew who fought in the French Resistance during World War II.

Her father is William Louis-Dreyfus a French-born American businessman. His family’s net worth estimated at $2.9 billion by Forbes.

Harry Melling (Dudley Dursley) is the grandson of Patrick Troughton, the second Dr. Who.

If descendants are interesting, Harry Lloyd (who played Viserys Targaryen in Game of Thrones) is a great-great-great grandson of Charles Dickens.

Jefferson Davis’s first wife was the daughter of future President Zachary Taylor. Tragically she died young and even more tragic he didn’t. That may not be fair, Winfield Scott, who had Davis for Secretary of War (i.e. boss) during the Pierce Administration said any enterprise with Davis in charge was doomed to fail.

In the 1970s there was a mediocre baseball player named Pete LaCock. His father is Peter Marshall, host of “Hollywood Squares”.Marshall (his stage name comes from the college he went to) had an older sister Joanne Dru, who was in movies like “Red River”, “She wore a Yellow ribbon”,“All the King’s Men” and “The Pride of St Louis”.

One of Pete LaCock’s two claims of fame. The other is that he was the guy replaced at third base for the Kansas City Royals by George Brett.

Lee Remick was the cousin of Tom and Dick Smothers.

Bruce Dern’s great uncle was poet Archibald Macleish. His grandfather was Governer of Utah.
