I upgraded my turntable and amp. Now I can hear scratches and surface noise… so I’ve been shopping for those albums that are worth buying in pristine condition. And I just want to thank everyone here for the definitive shopping list. And, to stay on topic: The first Marshall Crenshaw album. His best work, and one rockabilly banger after another. ---

I think too many Americans only remember the weird US versions of the pre Peppers albums. I could make a case that the British version of A Hard Days Night was best, the early Beatles that changed the world at their peak. ---
