I’m a-gonna be a grouchy Tigs for a few days, I’ll warn everybody. I already warned Papa Tigs. See, I take a small amount of pain meds regularly for my bad foot – nerve damage, all kinds of stuff, long story – but because of my trip, I’m running low on my meds. And my next appointment isn’t till next Tuesday, and I can’t get in earlier, so that means I have to stretch what I have. Which I can, but it means my foot is gonna HURT, and that means I’m a-gonna be a cranky Tigs. ☹ I appreciate them not wanting me to get hooked, but don’t you think that asking for a “fill the gap” scrip of two days’ worth of meds, first time in 2-1/2 years with this doctor that I’ve ever done that, isn’t really _that_ unreasonable? ☹ So you all behave this week or I’ll swat you with my cane! That means _you_! And my cane has a heavy metal crawfish head, so if I swat you with it, I’m gonna do some damage! No whips and chains (although clothesline and ropes are still allowed)! Only all-natural whipped cream! And keep offa my lawn, ya little preverts! 😃 I have got too much work to do today and _zero_ motivation to do it. It’s a pretty day, and I’d rather have my feet up and relax. Why can’t I be independently wealthy? What am I doing wrong? ---

Hiya! Bad bad bad puns… Anyways life is tripping along here at **Casa-da-Ems-parents** my Dad is doing great - his leg is swollen but he took a walk around the block with the physical terrorist this afternoon and she is very pleased with his progress. The walk took it out of him though and he has been resting with his foot up for nearly 45 mins so I will be off in a moment to rearrange the foot rests to knee supports and heel rest. My Mam made my favourite food yesterday - Roast Chicken Sunday Lunch. It is normally my welcome home lunch but with Dad’s Op is was delayed a week. We had Roast Chicken stuffed with good pork sausage and bread and onion stuffing, roast potatoes, cauliflower, peas and broad beans from my Dad’s garden this summer, gravy and yorkshire puddings. I laid down on the couch for a full hour with my jeans top button undone groaning that I ate to much. Yum! Well I am off to re-arrange Dad’s pillows and then to bed. Forgot to mention I am about 2/3 of the way through Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows…loving it! ---

We made a return trip to Leonardtown to pick up my meds, to get some stuff \*\*FCD \*\* needed to install fuel filters on the boat, and since Bad Chinese was right there, we grabbed an early dinner. Before we left, I cleaned and reorganized my studio, priced and boxed a bunch of stuff, and cleaned some dirty tools. I also tossed the last load of dirty clothes into the washer. After we got back, I folded the dry clothes and put the wet stuff into the dryer. Last load should be done in half an hour. I never did finish my critters. I’m going to spray down the bodies before I go to bed, and after work tomorrow, I’ll finish them. No, really, I will. Speaking (as I seem to do endlessly) of claying, I turn to you creative MMPers to perhaps suggest holiday type pieces. I have an idea for a Christmas tree pot, and I think I can do a snowman/snowwoman, but I’m not sure what else to try. Maybe I can just put silk holiday-type flowers into pots I already have? Or fill pots with holiday candies, wrap them in cellophane and put a big ribbon in them?? Gotta get festive ideas to clear my inventory. Gotta get ice cream, too. The last ice cream of my long weekend. _\_ ---

I’m glad to see that your Dad’s recovery is going well **ems.** What, exactly, is in Yorkshire pudding? I always see it talked about, but am curious as to what is actually in it. I have a feeling it nothing like what we Americans consider pudding. ---

Yorkshire pudding is food for the gods, if done correctly. If not, it is doughy, filling and high in fat… It’s a starch, essentially, made from flour, eggs, beef drippings and salt.
