Welcome, Peach! My excitement for the day was counting money from Friday’s fundraiser. There were more pledges than payments. I don’t know if that’s a :mad: or a ☹ . **FCM** , what about ornament-type thingys, using a ribbon for a hanger? Can fired but unglazed clay be painted? Can unglazed clay be fired? Maybe you could sell paint-your-own-decorations? I like the pots with candy idea. Or just wrap festive ribbons around things. Santa hats on the animal pieces might be cute. ---

Evening Mumpers! Work was not bad at all, for a holiday Monday. It was pretty quiet in the office but we managed to keep ourselves occupied, got a lot of stuff done that had been laying around. Just finished cleaning up from dinner, which was baked chicken, rice, corn and breadsticks. Yummmm. Plus leftovers for tomorrow night-always a plus! The weekend was very, very nice. Thanks for the well-wishes back in last week’s thread. I wound up napping for a while Saturday and made it through dinner at [Pier W](http://www.opentable.com/rest_profile.aspx?rid=4465), which was OMG delicious. We shared crab cakes for an appetizer, I had lobster pappardele and Flusband had surf and turf for the meals. Then peaches and cream creme brulee for dessert…mmmmm. It was such an extravagance - definitely an anniversary kind of dinner, but I’m really glad we went. We got to get all fancied up too - [photographic evidence](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c312/Malletgirl316/anniversary.jpg)🙂 Oh, and husband loved his gifts - one shirt I will have to exchange for a different size but he loves them and his new cologne, and I was happy to show off my necklace at work today. [/QUOTE] I can do underglazing, which is the color layer. I wonder if I could then just put a clear polyurethane to give it a shiny coat?? hmmmm, interesting idea… Ice cream has been consumed. In other news, my boyfriend and I just got back from his doctor’s appointment (family doctor) as a follow up to his seizure last week. We waited AN HOUR to see the doctor. Everything’s fine, though, and he goes back in three months and then we go see the neurologist in another week. I was thinking, though, that there should be some kind of rule that if you can’t see the doctor in 30 minutes that the next appointment should be free! And while I’m ranting, he’s actually willing to quit smoking and his stupid health insurance doesn’t cover Chantix. :mad: Don’t they think it will cost them less in the long run if they did? Especially considering that he’s on disability and will always have health insurance, most likely with them??? Off my soap box, I’ve got work to do. ---

I am sitting here, idly thinking of smacking my daughter upside the head. She is whining about her class load. Who said she had to take 5 AP classes? Not us. WE said we thought that was a bit much. Who said she HAD to take AP English? Not us, since she is not a lover of English like I was. Guess who hates AP English? Yep. Can I get a big :rolleyes: I am done with grad school work for the day.
